Lite is the first paid step, at $9.99 a month. It adds 60 credits, original avatars, 480p video and scheduled automations. It is also where the place-file download unlocks, so the project leaves the browser and opens in Roblox Studio.
What to verify before upgrading
Spend the free credits on a representative game idea, then preview the result in your browser. Check whether the core loop runs, whether the generated Luau is understandable, and how many refinements your brief needs. Upgrade when that test shows you need more monthly generations, a larger project, or the place file itself. Roblox AI accelerates building, but you still review, test, moderate, and publish the finished experience from your own Studio session.
Can I use Roblox AI for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 30 shared credits per monthly credit period and allows up to one successful image generation in that period. Images use those credits; they are not an extra allowance. No credit card is required.
What uses a build credit?
Game builds and refinements are charged by actual model usage, up to 30 credits per turn. Image costs depend on the selected model, size and quality. Free accounts can generate at most one successful image per monthly credit period; failed image jobs release that slot. Paid plans can generate more images within their credit balance.
How do monthly and yearly plans compare?
Lite, Pro, Max, Ultra and Ultra+ include 60, 150, 400, 1,200 and 2,400 monthly credits. Yearly billing saves up to 17% compared with twelve monthly payments. Credits refresh monthly on both options. Eligible first subscriptions receive 25% off the first month on monthly billing only, when the offer is available.
